Charge the base first - a full charge will take around four hours. Then swap out the existing bulb in your lamp for a low-voltage 5 watt bulb, such as the one that comes included. Then plug your lamp into the battery pack base for a full 8 to 10 hour run time. Overall: 24 1/2" high. Shade is 12" high x 8" wide. Weighs 3.3 lbs. Battery pack base is 8" wide, designed to fit up to a 7 1/4" lamp base bottom. Uses one maximum 100 watt standard-medium base bulb. On-off socket switch.
