Engineered Mesh Upper
The upper of these shoes is crafted from an engineered mesh that provides unparalleled comfort and breathability. This stretchy upper delivers a sock-like fit for advanced comfort and control and is covered in micro-perforations. These micro-perforations allow heat, vapour and moisture to escape, whilst simultaneously encouraging fresh air to enter and circulate. This provides a pleasant cooling sensation, which leaves your feet feeling fresh and cool. The upper offers flexibility and support, and it's paired with an internal sock to improve the fit. As well as this, the shoe's upper is made with a high-performance yarn that contains at least 50% Parley Ocean Plastic - reimagined plastic waste, intercepted on remote islands, beaches, coastal communities and shorelines, preventing it from polluting our ocean. The other 50% of the yarn is recycled Polyester. A traditional lacing system anchors the shoe to the foot securely for superior stability and control, reducing the risk of injury and providing responsive wear. TPU sections provide added durability and abrasion resistance in key areas, protecting the foot from sharp debris and ensuring long-wearing durability. The gusseted tongue protects the foot from pressure from the laces and blocks debris from entering the shoe whilst raised sidewalls offer extra stability.
Light Boost and Lightstrike MidsoleA Light Boost midsole is embedded into the Soulstride Ultra which is 30% lighter than the standard Boost foam. The Boost foam compound provides endless energy return from heel strike through to the toe-off phase of the gait cycle. It features hundreds of visible energy capsules that store and unleash endless energy every time your foot hits the ground, meaning that every step is charged. When your heel hits the floor, the Boost particles compress and store kinetic energy; as you transition through to mid-stance, the Boost particles relax and release their stored energy, which propels you forward with an explosive take-off. The Boost midsole will change your runs forever, thanks to its energy-returning properties. In addition, the shoes also feature a full-length unit of Lightstrike foam, which is a lightweight compound that supports explosive movements and helps propel you forward helping you pick up those new PBs.
TRAXION OutsoleThis shoe is completed with an ultra-grippy TRAXION outsole for unmatched traction on multiple surfaces. This outsole is covered in lugs that work to grip onto wet, dry, smooth and rough surfaces, pushing you off with responsive propulsion and helping you to have greater control.
