Entitled ‘After Dark Blooms’, Alberta Ferretti’s AW23 runway was full of grey, black and burgundy tones, representing the nocturnal garden that inspired the collection. But dark certainly doesn’t mean sombre for the Italian designer, as we can see from this maxi dress. Spun from lustrous silk, it’s subtly nipped at the waist, skimming the hips before flaring out to the floor.
