Altra EGO MidsoleThe midsole unit uses Altra Ego which is a dual-nature midsole compound with a responsive, yet soft feel for increased energy return. The dual-layer EVA cushioning reduces the wear and tear placed on joints, lessening the potential risk of injury in susceptible areas. Secondly, the midsole features Altra's zero-drop platform. Every Altra shoe features the Zero Drop Platform that places the heel and forefoot the same distance from the ground for natural alignment and a low-impact landing. The original Footshape technology due to a wider toe box allows you to splay your toes for a more natural fit and feel when running on any surface.
Vibram Megagrip OutsoleFinishing the shoes is the Vibram Megagrip outsole, a high-performance sticky rubber that provides exceptional grip and traction on any surface whether dry or wet. Completing the outsole are flex grooves which work to increase traction and grip of varied surfaces by allowing your foot to move naturally providing a larger surface area.
