Description
Arabia’s Palmikko mug is adorned with a decoration, designed by Esteri Tomula, that combines two elements very typical of the Finnish pattern designer: the natural world and abstract ornaments. Some of Tomula's creations did not make it into production at the time, including Palmikko, Finnish for “plait”, but were later dug up from Arabia’s archives. In 2021, Palmikko was paired with a clean-lined form familiar from Arabia’s Mainio collection. The 3 dl mug is made of dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer proof vitro porcelain – an extremely functional material perfect for everyday use. Palmikko can easily be combined with any brown, black or white tableware, for example, or with the rest of Arabia’s Beloved Patterns collection: collect the entire series or pick and choose your favourites.
