Description
Arabia’s Sinimarja mug is decorated with a motif designed by Esteri Tomula in 1981. The blue-toned design is rather clean-lined compared to many other works by the prolific pattern designer, but Sinimarja is still typical Tomula: during her almost 40 years at Arabia, she created numerous decorations inspired by the natural world. Sinimarja did not make it into production at the time, but in 2021 the pattern was dug up from Arabia’s archives. Paired with white ceramics and a modern, clean-lined form, the charmingly retro pattern can be combined with the other designs of Arabia’s Beloved Patterns collection as well as any minimalist dishware in blue or white, for example. The Sinimarja mug is made of dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer proof vitro porcelain – an extremely functional material perfect for everyday use.
