Artek’s day bed 710 is a versatile bed designed by Alvar Aalto in 1933. Like many of Aalto's furniture pieces, the day bed 710 features the famous L-leg structure developed by Aalto: the birch wood frame and slatted base rest on low legs bent into a shape of L. The light colour and strong structure of birch make the day bed 710 a perfect minimalist sofa, catnapping place or guest bed. Please note that the package only includes a wooden daybed frame. You may complement it with a mattress of your liking or order the mattress and its covers from our webshop. In addition, you can contact our Customer Service to purchase separate back cushions that transform the daybed into a sofa. Both the mattress and the cushions can be upholstered with Artek fabrics; please contact our Customer Service for further details on the upholstery options.
