Artek Aalto wall lamp A910
Description
The olive green edition of Artek's A910 wall lamp was designed for the design hotel St. George that was opened in Helsinki in 2018. Its attractive colour was taken from an old floor lamp found at Alvar Aalto's studio. The special edition is only available via Finnish Design Shop and Artek. Artek’s A910 wall lamp provides a soft, bright light filtered by thin layers of white coated steel. The lamp was launched in 1990, and its design is based on the series of lamps that Alvar Aalto designed in the 1950s for the National Pensions Institute of Helsinki. The simplistic elegance and smooth light of A910 have made it a popular lamp in both domestic and public spaces, and its unique form and light highly resemble Aalto's original designs.
