Engineered Mesh Upper
Crafted from an engineered mesh, this upper delivers unmatched breathability. Micro-perforations allows heat and vapour to escape, whilst simultaneously encouraging fresh air to flow in and circulate. This provides a pleasant cooling sensation that helps create the perfect microclimate for happy, healthy feet. An update from the previous Cumulus 22, this mesh is new even softer, for unbeatable comfort. The upper delivers strategic support to targeted areas, giving you a helpful boost and a comfortable wearing experience. This upper works closely with the midsole's movement, which creates a smoother stride from footstrike to toe-off.
Gel Technology, Flytefoam and a Gender-Specific 3D Space Construction Midsole Constuction
To improve cushioning and flexibility, ASICS has added a 3D Space Construction to the top layer of the midsole. This technology is implemented through a series of strategically planted pillars within the midsole, allowing runners to experience more compression in a specific area without reducing durability or stability. By helping runners appropriately compress the foam during the landing phase of their stride, this shoe promotes a smoother ride and improves shock absorption. A softer Gel Technology unit is positioned under the heel to improve cushioning, protecting the joints and muscles in the foot and ankle during foot strike, reducing the risk of injury. Flytefoam helps create a smoother and more supportive ride, providing further cushioning and springy rebounds. This is done by utilising the force from your last step to power you into your next one, which reduces energy loss and fatigue - so you can go further than ever before.
AHAR Plus Outsole
Supreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the AHAR outsole. ASICS' high abrasion rubber is a tough rubber compound used at the heavy-contact or high wear areas which helps to cut down on excessive wear. The high abrasion outsole provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. Strategically positioned in critical areas of the outsole, this exceptionally durable compound is 50% more durable than standard ASICS High Abrasion Rubber to ensure complete protection and durability. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it, the outsole allows you to stay in full control at all times. Flex grooves also adorn the outsole to provide added traction underfoot, the grooves allow for natural foot flexion for easy, unhindered paces.
