An update from the previous version, this mesh is now even softer, for unbeatable comfort. This upper works closely with the midsole's movement, which creates a smoother stride from footstrike to toe-off while the reflective details enhance visibility in low-light conditions. Lastly, a traditional lacing system helps to lock the feet down and prevents any excessive movement.
Gel-Technology MidsoleThe midsole consists of ASICS' Gel Technology which is engineered to maintain durability at softer densities, providing better flexibility, comfort and platform adaptability ideal for natural running. Lightweight and resilient, the cushioning spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. In addition, a rearfoot gel cushioning system resides in the heel to provide exceptional shock absorption from impact forces during the heel strike phase of the gait cycle. The gel spares your joints from unforgiving surfaces as you pound in the miles. Equipped with a Guidance Line technology, this technology helps the foot experience a more natural and consistent stride.
AHAR+ OutsoleSupreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the AHAR+ outsole. ASICS' high abrasion rubber is a tough rubber compound used in heavy-contact or high-wear areas which helps to cut down on excessive wear. The high abrasion outsole provides a strong grip on muddy trails and works to protect itself from damage and protect users from losing control and slipping. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it, the outsole allows you to stay in full control at all times. Flex grooves also adorn the outsole to provide added traction underfoot, the grooves allow for natural foot flexion for easy, unhindered paces. The flex grooves work with the rubber outsole to provide an abundance of underfoot traction.
