Designed to be lightweight and breathable, the upper of the ASICS GT-2000 10 Running Shoes has been constructed using an engineered mesh upper. Acting as a lightweight second skin the mesh ensures you are able to go the distance in complete comfort. Perforations in the fabric encourage cool air to circulate, removing uncomfortable heat build-up to create a healthy environment for your foot to thrive in. The mesh fabric allows cool air to flow throughout the upper whilst, at the same time allowing hot humid air to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The mesh upper also works to support the foot as you move to ensure you always feel locked in and comfortable. The reduction in seams reduces the risks of chafing and irritation so you can go further for longer in complete comfort. The mesh has been reinforced in key areas to ensure structure and support whilst the counter supports and locks in the heel. An OrthoLite X-30 sockliner provides soft step-in comfort. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

ASICS play their ace card in lightweight cushioning: FlyteFoam. A layer of protection, bounce and comfort, it sits under the heel and midfoot to provide you with unmatched shock absorption and a lively ride. FlyteFoam is the next generation of ASICS' lightweight and responsive cushioning technology. The midsole formula features a reinforced, sustainable nanofibre compound which increases the foam's durability and provides more stability for runners, buffering against the ground to protect the wearer from unnecessary stress and fatigue. The reinforced fibres let the material bounce back to its original shape after every run; so you can train harder, more frequently, for longer, without the worry that your shoes might not be able to take it. Embedded within the midsole, are the rearfoot and forefoot Gel cushioning systems. These systems help to attenuate shock at heel-strike and toe-off, sparing your joints as you land onto hard, unforgiving surfaces, and promoting a smooth transition through the gait cycle. ASICS contrast their cushioning with the Dynamic Duomax support system. Implemented on the medial side, it helps to control pronation; enhancing stability and support without sacrificing lightweight or comfort.

Supreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the AHAR outsole. ASICS' high abrasion rubber is a tough rubber compound used in the heavy-contact or high wear areas which helps to cut down on excessive wear. The high abrasion outsole provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it, the outsole allows you to stay in full control at all times. As well as this, a lateral full ground contact on the outsole supplies even more cushioning and durability so you can continue with complete confidence. Flex grooves also adorn the outsole to provide added traction underfoot. The grooves allow for natural foot flexion for easy, unhindered paces and work with the rubber outsole to provide an abundance of underfoot traction.
