This comfortable pack is very versatile thanks to modular gear straps that can be positioned to attach a range of items depending on the undertaking or the gear you need to take. Its superior carry comfort is down to the Deuter Aircontact back system with Air Spacer mesh and a large ventilation channel.
The easiest way to carry heavy loads is when the backpack and wearer become one. This is what Deuter's Aircontact principle is all about: the body contact system brings the weight close to the body and therefore close to the centre of gravity. This results in full pack control and an effective load transfer. Furthermore, Deuter's Aircontact cushions are made from special hollow chamber foam that guarantees fantastic ventilation due to the pump effect of every movement. The system offers an effective transition of weight through ergonomically cut, compact, hip fins that custom fit the hips. Special pads precisely adjust to the hip and provide a stable and comfortable hold of the load. Even with heavy loads the hip belt is easy to adjust with its Pull-Forward construction. The Backpack is fully adjustable thanks to Deuter's VariSlide system and can be adapted to virtually any body shape and size. The Y-frame allows for more direct load transfer and load control keeping you comfortable even when the load is heavy.
The backpack offers a variety of storage solutions, ensuring you have enough space to take all the essential and valuable items that you wish to take with you. By offering you multiple internal and external zippered pockets as well as mesh side pockets you can be assured that your valuable items and essential items can be quickly and easily accessed when needed. Furthermore, the backpack provides you with a wet laundry compartment that allows you to store dirty/wet clothes separately from your clean and dry clothes. The pack offers a bottom compartment with a removable separator for ideal gear access and load placement, allowing you to load the pack exactly how you want it. An SOS label inside the lid provides the most important tips in case of emergencies. Sternum straps stabilise the pack on the shoulders and prevent any slipping or irritation from occurring on the shoulders while hiking pole attachment loops and ice axe attachment loops allow you to safely store them away when not in use. There are also loops for attaching a helmet holder. Additional volume can be created through the extendible lid should you need some extra space, however, volume can also be adjusted in the opposite way, with side compression straps to control the size of the pack.
