Description
Tavolo con Ruote, designed by Gae Aulenti for FontanaArte in 1980, is an iconic coffee table that plays with industrial aesthetics and modern minimalism. Aulenti got the idea for the table from industrial trolleys used at FontanaArte’s factory to transport glass – she replaced the trolley’s wooden shelf with a thick sheet of glass and combined it with large, free-rolling industrial wheels. Tavolo con Ruote is perfect for spaces where you need to move the coffee table every now and then, and its simple, straightforward design makes a charming addition to all types of interiors. To mark the 40th anniversary of Tavolo con Ruote in 2020, FontanaArte launched the table in a special numbered edition of 400 pieces with white galvanized wheels. Each table of the special anniversary edition is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
