The Leopard 2 tank is a main battle tank that was first introduced in the late 1970s. The 2A7 variant was developed in the early 2010s with the first tank being handed over to the German Army in December 2014.The 2A7 was designed to be optimized for combat in urban terrain making it fundamentally different from other variants of the Leopard 2.
