Hackman Moomin coffee spoon
Description
The Moomin seasonal spoon for winter 2020-2021 is called Snow Blizzard. It features an illustration based on Tove Jansson’s book Moominland Midwinter, from 1957, in which Moomintroll has woken up from his hibernation and wanders off to explore the wintery Moominvalley. Most of Jansson’s original illustrations are made with pen and ink or gouache and watercolours, but the image of Moomintroll trying to make his way through a blizzard is created with the rare scratchboard technique. This creates a certain depth to the illustration – you can almost feel the icy wind blowing across Moominvalley. New products of the Moomin Seasonals collection are released twice a year and they are available for a limited time only.
