Although each village or group of villages has its own distinctive designs, they all have certain characteristics in common. This particular rug was made in the village of Wiss. The village women, aside from cooking and cleaning, spend approximately four hours a day weaving the rugs while the children are at school. The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected.
