Features: Unique geometric pattern with lively designs Hand-knotted with 100% wool Knot count of 150 per square inch Pile height of 0.25 inches Array of colors including red, ivory, black, green, light blue, rust, gold, brown, and beige Story Behind the Art: Due to the past 30 years of war and foreign invasion in Afghanistan, most of the weavers in the villages have moved to the cities and are no longer weaving rugs. This particular rug was made by the weavers in the villages of Herat using 100 percent wool from their own sheep. The washing and natural vegetable dying of the wool is done in their villages. As a result of the handmade nature of the rug, the size may vary by 3-4 inches. This rug is imported and regular vacuuming and annual professional cleaning will keep it looking new for years to come.
