The rug making process includes cleaning, washing, and dyeing the wool with vegetable dyes before weaving it into a beautiful rug. The majority of the weavers are women who reside in villages in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, and India. The community thrives from rug weaving as local farmers benefit from wool sales, and local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs. With every purchase, you are helping to create more jobs for female weavers who would otherwise not have the opportunity to do so. Note that due to the handmade nature of our rugs, sizes may vary from as advertised by 3-4 inches.
