The majority of the weavers are women from villages across Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, and India. By supporting these artisans, we are able to create more job opportunities for female weavers who might not have access to such opportunities otherwise. Additionally, the rug weaving industry benefits the local farmers as they can sell their wool and local artisans who create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs.
