Description
Bring traditional handmade design to your floor space with the Afghan Kazak wool rug. This rug's vibrant colors, made with vegetable dyes, brighten your home while offering vintage appeal, and the construction itself is a hand-knotted 100 percent wool pile that is soft to walk across or rest your feet on while sitting. With a 180 knot count per square inch, this rug offers a low pile suitable for busy homes where kids run across it regularly, while its traditional vibe offers elegance in whichever room you display it. Features: This rug is made with 100% wool and vegetable dyes. The knot count per square inch for this rug is 180. The pile height is 0.25 inches. Colors include red, ivory, navy, brown, green and blue. Story Behind the Art: This particular rug was woven by the village weavers within the Hazara tribe in the Bamyan province of Afghanistan. Due to the handmade nature of our rugs, the size may vary from as advertised by 3-4 inches. Regular vacuuming and annual professional cleaning will keep your rug looking new for years to come. The majority of the weavers are women, who live in the villages of Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. As we grow, we are able to create more jobs for female weavers who otherwise would not have the opportunity to do so. The community also thrives from rug weaving as the local farmers benefit from wool sales, and the local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs. The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen. Imported
