Features: One-of-a-kind design Handmade by village weavers in Afghanistan Made with 100% wool and vegetable dyes Knot count of 160 per square inch Pile height of 0.25 inches Story Behind the Art: This rug was woven by village weavers in the Hazara tribe of the Bamyan province in Afghanistan. The majority of the weavers are women who live in the villages of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. By supporting these weavers, we are able to create more jobs for female artisans who otherwise would not have the opportunity to do so. The community also benefits from rug weaving as local farmers profit from wool sales and local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs. Care Instructions: Regular vacuuming and professional cleaning once a year will keep your rug looking new for years to come. Note that due to the handmade nature of this rug, the size may vary by 3-4 inches. Additionally, color discrepancies may occur between the product and your computer screen. Imported.
