The handmade process includes cleaning, washing, and dyeing wool, and then weaving the rug with vegetable-dyed wool. Due to the handmade nature of the rugs, the size may vary up to 3-4 inches. The majority of the weavers are women who live in the villages of Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, and Iran. Each rug is crafted with artisan skill, creating variations in color, size, and design that make each piece unique.
