The stunning ivory and gray color combination will complement any decor. Features: Handmade with high quality hand-spun wool and pure vegetable dyes Resembles the rarity and beauty of Antique Turkish Oushak rugs Knot count of 200 per square inch Pile height of 0.25 inches Ivory and gray color combination Story Behind the Art: Our Afghan Vegetable Dye Oushak designs are made by Turkoman weavers in the Northern part of Afghanistan, as well as by Hazara weavers in central Afghanistan. The weavers use natural and vegetable dyes such as madder for red, walnut peel for dark brown, pomegranate peel for light brown, and sparak for yellow. The majority of the weavers are women who live in the villages of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. By purchasing our rugs, you are not only supporting female weavers who may not have had the opportunity to do so otherwise, but also the local community where farmers benefit from wool sales and artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs. Please note that due to the handmade nature of our rugs, sizes may vary up to 3-4 inches. Regular vacuuming and annual professional cleaning will keep your rug looking new for years to come. Color discrepancies may occur between the product and your computer screen. Imported
