Village weavers in Lahore, Pakistan then put together these remnants to preserve the good parts of these rugs. The weavers are mostly women who live in the villages of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India, and the rug weaving industry provides them with jobs they would not have had otherwise. The community also benefits from the industry, as local farmers benefit from wool sales and local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs. Please note that due to the handmade nature of this rug, size may vary from the advertised dimensions by 3-4 inches. Additionally, the handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size, and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected.
