Features: One-of-a-kind rug crafted from remnants of antique hand-knotted wool rugs Knot count per square inch is 250 Made with 100 percent wool and vegetable dyes Pile height of 0.5 inches Beautiful blend of natural colors, including brown, blue, green, beige, gold and rust Story Behind the Art: The remnants used in this patchwork rug come from Persian Antique rugs that could no longer be used as one whole rug. These remnants are then put together by village weavers in Lahore, Pakistan, to preserve the good parts of these rugs. The weavers are mostly women who live in the villages of Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. The rug weaving community also benefits local farmers who benefit from wool sales and local artisans who create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs. Due to the handmade nature of the rug, the size may vary from what is advertised by 3-4 inches. Regular vacuuming and annual professional cleaning will keep your rug looking new for years to come. Please note that color discrepancies may occur between the product and your computer screen. Imported.
