The rugs are made on portable wooden looms typically with wool pulled from the tribe's sheep each year. This particular rug was made in the Bhadohi region of India by Mr. Mahmood and his family. They do the entire process of shearing, washing, dyeing and weaving of the rugs within their own compound by all of the family members. The rug is 100-percent wool with vegetable dyes.
