This rug is hand-tufted using a pre-woven grid foundation, with a tufting gun to push and pull the threads through the backing. The majority of the weavers are women from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India, who create natural and vegetable dyes for their designs. By supporting these artisans, we are able to create more jobs for female weavers who otherwise would not have the opportunity to do so, while also benefitting the local farmers from wool sales. Please note that due to the handcrafted nature of this rug, slight variations in color, size, and design should be expected.
