With updates to improve comfort and sustainability, the Hoka Challenger ATR 6 Trail Running Shoes are neutral shoes that will keep you in control both on and off road, giving you the confidence to tackle all adventures.

To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. Surrounding the upper of the Challenger ATR 6 is an extremely breathable mesh, which will work to keep you feeling ventilated and comfortable no matter what. Air that builds up within that is warm will be able to escape out, where it is then replaced by cooler air from outside the shoes. This will work constantly for effective ventilation. The mesh is made from up to 30% recycled polyester, making the shoe a more sustainable and greener version of the Challenger ATR. As well as this, the upper has been redesigned to feel a lot more lightweight, allowing you to improve your times, as well as giving you complete freedom. With a reinforced toe box, the upper provides essential protection from any bumps or knocks that you might receive on the trails, deflecting them away from the forefoot. Similarly, there are strong overlays as well as a firm heel, which will keep it held in a healthy and strong position. An improved heel cap fits snugly around your heel, providing a soft feel with a close fit. The secure lacing will allow you to secure the fit of the shoes for a personalised fit. The tongue is flat-lying, which will sit comfortably on the ankle, preventing it from causing any irritation by rubbing and chafing. Carrying dirty shoes around with you is clean and easy, as the shoes have a heel loop.

The Challenger ATR 6 continues to offer a high cushion-to-weight ratio with a lightweight, oversized EVA midsole that offers a plush underfoot feel; designed to help each stride feel more comfortable than the last the compression moulded EVA absorbs impact forces and creates a stable landing so you can you run further for longer in comfort and protection ensuring the wear and tear placed on your joints are kept to a minimum. A modified midfoot design offers an improved lockdown ensuring a sturdy and secure fit whilst the early stage Meta-Rocker will transfer you to your toes quicker for a powerful push-off ensuring a smoother ride and an improved gait efficiency and transition.

The Challenger ATR 6 boasts a podular outsole, which delivers an abundance of grip and traction to help fill you with confidence as you take on the trails. 4mm lugs provide traction on a variety of surfaces; strategically placed along the outsole the 4mm lugs provide a full, unrestricted range of motion in all directions and much need flexibility to bolster comfort and performance in equal measures.
