Lace Knit Upper
Engineered specifically for long-distance racing (3K - 10K), Hoka have employed a lightweight, lace-knit upper for a breathable, race-ready fit. This breathable upper material allows air to circulate freely to the foot, increasing the ventilation and keeping your feet cool in the process. Finishing off the upper is a traditional lace-up system, keeping the feet locked in and preventing in-shoe slippage, alongside an engineered mesh tongue that helps to cushion the foot from lace pressure whilst remaining breathable.
Super Critical Foaming Midsole Process and 4-Pin Pebax Spike PlateUtilising a new, super-critical foaming process combined with a slightly stiffer Pebax spike plate, this new iteration delivers a snappier, faster ride. This snappier, new foam in the midsole provides you with a perfect amount of cushioning for long-distance events, for keeping your foot closer to the ground and utilises a firmer material for efficient push-off. Alongside this, the spikes have a removable non-moulded EVA sockliner that delivers a plush feel underfoot. The Cielo X 2 LD Spikes have 4 spikes with a more finely tuned carbon fibre plate, for traction and support during your training or competitions. The strategically placed spikes will enable you to run comfortably and confidently, knowing you have the stability to push yourself to the limit and achieve the best results possible.
