Iittala's Aalto vase is a veritable icon of Finnish design and glass art, continually enchanting fans of Nordic design with its organic, ambiguous form. Created by the legendary designer and architect Alvar Aalto, the vase was introduced to the international public in different sizes and colours at the World Fair in Paris in 1937, and it has since become one of the most famous glass objects in the entire world. The rich brown hue was picked from Iittala's extensive glass colour archive, and it has been featured in several of Iittala's collections.
