Iittala Kastehelmi bowl
Description
Iittala's Kastehelmi bowl is part of the beloved glass collection of the same name designed by Oiva Toikka. The small bowl can be used, for example, for serving dessert or snacks. In the 1960s, designer and artist Oiva Toikka set out to create a surface pattern that would conceal the joint marks in pressed glass. The result was Kastehelmi, Finnish for dewdrop, designed in 1964. Featuring delicate glass droplets arranged in a series of rings, Kastehelmi plays with light in the most beautiful way. Its playful elegance suits any table setting, from morning to night and from casual to formal.
