For technical footwear, a good fit is essential to enhance your performance. Inov8's new Shoe Fit Scale makes it easier to find the perfect fitting shoe. All Inov8 shoes are designed with Met-Cradle technology to lock down the mid-foot for a stable hold, where they differ is in the toe box. The shoes are now graded from 1 to 5, Grade 1 representing their closest, most precise fit and Grade 5 representing the widest fitting toe box.

The lower the number on the scale, the narrower the fit, which ensures minimal internal movement of the foot when running fast on technical terrain. Shoes with the higher numbers on the scale will suit athletes with a wider foot and those wanting that extra comfort in the toe box. This wider toe box allows the toes to splay for increased stability when lifting heavy weights. It's also perfect for longer runs and races when toes begin to swell.

The upper of the TrailFly Ultra G 280 is abreathable knit material, providing enhanced comfort without compromising on durability. The knit material in the upper will allow for your feet optimal airflow in, and out of the shoes, by allowing warm air to escape, and cool air to enter, curating the perfect microclimate for your feet. This will work constantly over a long period of time, keeping you feeling cool and comfortable over long miles. This breathable upper has been combined with a padded tongue to further ensure comfort and the fit has been designed to support and adjust to the natural swelling of the foot when running long distances. The TrailFly Ultra G 280 features Inov8's widest toe box to allow for that extra wiggle room and comfort for your toes. To provide toes with added protection, the upper features a front bumper. The upper is completed with a lacing system that will allow your feet to stay locked into the shoes, and prevent slipping inside the shoe.

With a new nitrogen-infused FLYSPEED midsole foam, the TrailFly Ultra G 280 delivers Inov8's softest-ever ride. This, combined with incredible bounce and energy return, provides you with an ultralight and durable feel underfoot. The foam is the brand's first to feature the use of nitrogen gas and reduces the amount of energy and chemicals used in the manufacturing processes. An overall stack height of 33mm in the heel and 25mm in the forefoot helps to deliver an excellent amount of comfort, perfect for those longer-distance days. As well as an 8mm drop, the TrailFly Ultra G 280 also features an 8mm deep ADAPTER-FLEX groove that helps the shoe to adapt, flex and mould to uneven terrain for a connected trail ride. This groove helps reduce rigidity in the midsole and works together with the midtarsal joint in the foot to increase mobility.
