For technical footwear, a good fit is essential to enhance your performance. Inov8's new Shoe Fit Scale makes it easier to find the perfect fitting shoe. All Inov8 shoes are designed with Met-Cradle technology to lock down the mid-foot for a stable hold, where they differ is in the toe box. The shoes are now graded from 1 to 5, Grade 1 representing their closest, most precise fit and Grade 5 representing the widest fitting toe box.

The lower the number on the scale, the narrower the fit, which ensures minimal internal movement of the foot when running fast on technical terrain. Shoes with the higher numbers on the scale will suit athletes with a wider foot and those wanting that extra comfort in the toe box. This wider toe box allows the toes to splay for increased stability when lifting heavy weights. It's also perfect for longer runs and races when toes begin to swell.

Crafted from ultra-durable ballistic nylon, the upper of the X-Talon Ultra 260 V2 is designed to keep going mile after mile. This upper is designed to protect itself from damage and abrasion, making debris and sharp rocks out on the trail an issue of the past. The upper now features an improved locked-in fit for greater control and stability, allowing you to make more precise movements with confidence. This improved fit upper is less baggy than its predecessor to ensure more agility over tougher terrains, giving you confidence no matter where your run takes you. The shoe is also more breathable than its previous iteration, helping feet stay feeling fresh and happy. Allowing trapped heat to escape and cool air to circulate, your feet maintain a perfect climate for your feet to thrive in. This means that you can continue in comfort as your run intensifies. With a wider toe box, the X-Talon Ultra 260 V2 allows your toes to splay naturally with each step for additional comfort. A new, slimmed-down tongue sits comfortably atop the foot and provides protection from lace pressure as well as further enhancing the secure overall fit of the shoe. Finishing the upper is a traditional lacing system that secures the shoe comfortably to your foot.

A POWERFLOW MAX midsole delivers high levels of shock absorption to reduce the risk of injury. Set with a PowerFlow compound for resilient cushioning with maximum memory retention, the midsole reduces resistance and forces pressed upon the underfoot, engaging a smooth stride through transition and over uneven grounds and delivering increased shock absorption and energy return. This makes for a more stable ride, ideal for hitting the trails. The high levels of shock absorption helps to reduce energy waste, meaning you can go further faster, as energy is returned in the form of rebounds. Made from STICKYGRIP rubber, the outsole of the X-Talon Ultra 260 V2 offers enhanced grip on soft and firm surfaces - dry or wet. Fierce 8mm lugs claw through the soft ground for incredible traction. These deep lugs have been positioned to minimise mud clogging up the outsole, allowing it to drop out so you keep a great grip on variable terrain without being weighed down.
