Jacquemus’ SS24 show was held at the Maeght Foundation, home to 13,000 pieces of modern art. Make that 13,001, thanks to the presentation of the Bari shirt. It takes all the trappings of the wardrobe classic, but spins them in a subversive way that’s so intrinsic to the French designer. Neat stripes, a point collar and concealed placket are all present and correct, topping a surprisingly cropped hem with playful cut-outs.
