KEEN Targhee III Waterproof Walking Shoes

The iconic hiking shoe for men brings an updated look to all-terrain adventures. Keen carried over the fit, durability, and performance of our award-winning Targhee waterproof boot and took its rugged looks to a new dimension.

Developed to provide durability and breathability, the Targhee III has been constructed using a waterproof leather and performance mesh upper. The leather upper keeps the feet protected from debris and sharp objects as well as minimising the risks of wear and tear whilst the performance mesh allows the feet to breathe by increasing ventilation. The lightweight and supportive mesh swathes the foot in breathable comfort to ensure you remain cool and comfortable at all times. The mesh allows cool air to flow throughout the upper whilst, at the same time allowing hot humid air to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. Keen Dry technology is also incorporated into the upper to provide resistance against sweat and moisture which is inevitable during exercise. The breathable membrane keeps your feet cool, dry and comfortable as it wicks away the sweat and moisture so you can focus on your performance without discomfort or distraction. The waterproof nature of KeenDry keeps you protected when the weather takes a turn for the worst. A leather mud shield protects the upper from loose debris and mud whilst the injected TPU heel-capture system locks in the heel for added stability. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

Constructed using an EVA midsole, the Targhee III provides comfortable cushioning that keeps you going all day long. The dual-density EVA provides significant cushioning and comfort to help improve the level of your performance so you can stay at your optimum level, for longer. Holding excellent cushioning abilities, the midsole absorbs shocks as you move throughout the gait cycle providing resilient cushioning and reducing the risks of potential injury. A removable dual-density EVA insole also features within the midsole to provide added cushioning and support. The insole sits comfortably under the foot and can be easily removed if you'd prefer not to use it. As well as this, Cleansport NXT features in the midsole and offers natural odour control, eliminating odour-causing microbes and ensuring your shoes smell fresher for longer. Completing the midsole is an internal shank which delivers lightweight support and reduces the chance of ankle rolling or injury by providing a bit more stability to the foot whilst on rough terrain.

Providing ultimate, all-around protection, the Targhee III features a Keen.all-terrain rubber outsole. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage and protect users from losing control and slipping. It is also highly durable meaning no matter what you throw at it, the Targhee will perform time and time again. This high-traction rubber promotes grip on a multitude of surfaces while delivering the durability you need to go the distance. Completing the outsole are 4mm multi-directional lugs which provide meaningful traction on tough terrain. The lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
