20" X 24"" After the Bath was created by Suzanne Valadon in 1908. Valadon celebrated the curves of women by accentuating them with the addition of black outlines to create additional definitions rather than letting her blend in with the scene. Today this piece is a hidden treasure as part of a personal collection. The original was done as a pastel on paper as Valadon did several sketches of her models getting ready for a bath, and finishing a bath because this felt like a natural way to capture the figure.
