20" X 24"" Summer, painted in 1563 by Giuseppe Arcimboldo, is the second piece in a series depicting the four seasons each aligned with the different seasons of the aging. In this painting the portrait is of a matured woman. Her face is constructed of different fruits and vegetables associated with the summer months, all ripened. Two different versions were done, the second version completed in 1573 is currently in the Louvre in Paris. Frame Description: Versailles Silver King Frame"
