La Pastiche Wanderer above the Sea of Fog with Silver Scoop with Swirl Lip Frame
Description
20" x 24"" Wanderer above the Sea of Fog, also known as Der Wanderer uber dem Nebelmeer, Wonderer above the Mist or Mountaineer in a Misty Landscape. Painted in 1818 by the German Romantic painter Caspar David Friedrich has been considered one of the masterpieces of the Romanticism movement and one of its most representative works. The painting features a presumably young man gazing out over a landscape of fog, leaving the view to fantasize on what could be underneath. The original is currently in Kunsthalle Hamburg in Hamburg, Germany. Our reproduction captures the same excitement with the bold brushstrokes and use of light.
