To ensure feet remain comfortable and cosy, even in the more intense weather conditions, the Aequilibrium's have a water-repellent high-tenacity 60.6 upper, alongside a GORE-TEX Performance Comfort lining. This combination of technologies, means that your feet will remain dry during heavy rain, allowing you to concentrate on the journey ahead. Additionally, the shoes have abrasive-resistant zones which are present as a Honey Comb Guard with mono-burr wire reinforcements, preventing your feet from becoming uncomfortable or damaged from knocks and bumps. Your feet are protected thanks to the gusseted tongue with a soft snow guard on the collar. The soft fabrics, ensure that feet remain comfortable, preventing abrasion or irritation from occurring when wearing the shoes. Alongside this, the TPU anti-abrasion film provides protection and enhances the lightweight properties of the boots. TPU shells have been integrated into the toe and heel, reinforcing the uppers, which therefore work alongside the ergonomic and precise shape, providing you with a perfect fit. The 3D Flex System Evo is an innovative multidirectional hinge on the upper that allows the ankle to make the most of its natural characteristics without losing stability. Finally, to ensure a comfortable, secure fit from ankle to toe, the boots have a hook fastening at the top of the lace-up system, and webbing at the bottom with semi-automatic crampons, helping you to remain stable and steady underfoot.
EVA Foam MidsoleWorking alongside the upper in harmony, the soft midsole provides underfoot comfort. The EVA midsole differs from the standard compression moulded EVA midsoles by providing a high degree of cushioning and a better elasticity of the fabric. Despite being extremely lightweight, the midsole serves you with both protection and cushioning, which will keep you going for longer. Towards the bottom of the midsole, the EVA is densely packed into the midsole, which will absorb all shocks and heavy impacts instantly and effectively. The shoes also have a PU foam inner lining to enhance your comfort. The midsole is semi-cramponable in case of ice or snow.
Vibram Spring Lug Rubber OutsoleTo supply you with a great pair of outdoor boots, the Aequillibriums utilise a Spring Lug Tech rubber outsole. The outsoles are made of a rubber shell which for the utmost protection and significant resistance to scratches and wear. This compound enhances grip and traction on an array of surfaces, and uses a low-density polyurethane content which further maximises comfort, and renders the sole highly adaptable to uneven terrain. The outsole also uses Impact Brake System Lugs for great adaptability to hard rock surfaces, and it offers real advantages during racing by reducing negative ground impact. The unique position of the lugs allows as many of them as possible to come into contact with the ground, for maximum impact absorption.
