La Sportiva TX Guide Approach Shoes
TX Guide is the most technical shoe in the La Sportiva TX Series. It is dedicated to technical approach routes and climbing and is designed for mountain guides and mountain workers looking for a long lasting, high performance product.
Mesh Upper
The upper of the Guide is constructed from a breathable mesh that encases each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot muggy air. An updated highly abrasion-resistant upper will prevent any damage from being caused to the upper, which will allow you to push yourself harder, safe in the knowledge that you won't cause damage to the shoes. The mesh also boasts reinforcements in abrasion-resistant microfiber technology to prevent roots, rocks and stones from getting into the shoes. Additionally, the upper features a protective TPU toe cap that protects the front of the foot against trail hazards such as rocks and roots. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot.
EVA MidsoleThe midsole on the TX Guide is designed to provide the perfect balance of fluidity, stability and flexibility. Towards the bottom of the midsole, the EVA is extremely firm and will absorb shocks instantly. This will prevent them from reaching the sole of the foot, and it will also improve the stability of the shoe by spreading the energy evenly. The EVA towards the top of the midsole softer, which will provide underfoot cushioning. Completing the midsole is an ortholite ergonomic footbed which provides ample underfoot cushioning and increased moisture management so you can go further for longer in complete comfort.
Vibram Rubber OutsoleCompleting the La Sportiva TX Guide Approach Shoes is a Vibram MegaGrip outsole ensures traction and grip on varied terrain. This high-performance rubber compound gifts you with an unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces, rugged longevity and optimal ground adaptability. The rubber is able to form a solid bond with the ground beneath it to ensure traction and control as you explore the unbeaten path. As well as this, the outsole has been fitted with an Impact Brake System, the outsole will assist with technical descents, which will relax you as you head down the hills. Lastly, a climbing zone at the toe provides maximum durability and grip so you'll always feel confident on uneven terrain.
