Breathable AirMesh Upper
The AirMesh upper encases each foot in superb breathable comfort. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire upper providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing the hot, muggy air that resides in the uppers during heavy exertion. The mesh is constructed with microfibre reinforcements and an abrasion-resistant coating that work in harmony to enhance durability while out on tricky terrain. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; it integrates with the mesh upper to supply a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. As well as this, a soft collar construction reduces the risks of chafing and irritation so you can remain comfortable at all times. Lastly, the upper of the Ultra Raptor features an integrated lacing system that uses a webbing stitched to the inner stretch fabric while the high-frequency reinforcements remain on the external mesh fabric. This strategic construction allows for an optimal distribution of foot tension and keeps the foot in check without compromising overall comfort.
EVA Injected MidsoleThe EVA injected midsole differs from the standard compression moulded EVA midsoles by providing a high degree of cushioning and a better elasticity of the fabric. Despite being extremely lightweight, the midsole serves you with both protection and cushioning, which will keep you going for longer. Towards the bottom of the midsole, the EVA is densely packed into the midsole, which will absorb all shocks and heavy impacts instantly and effectively. This will allow you to tackle volatile and uneven trails in complete confidence. As you travel further up the midsole, the EVA becomes a lot softer, which will mean that on every step you will feel cushioned and comfortable. This will mean that there will be less stress and impacts placed on the heel and knees, which will guard against fatigue and help you push yourself further and faster than ever before. Energy produced from each stride that you take will be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step.
Frixion White OutsoleThe outsole has been constructed using Frixion White, a versatile rubber compound that provides ultimate grip on a variety of surfaces. The durable rubber is able to form a strong grip, the rubber will stabilise and anchor the feet to the ground. The rubber will guard against damage, as it is made from abrasion-resistant rubber. This will mean that it will protect itself from damage from rocky ground, improving the lifespan and functionality of the shoe over the long term. As well as this, an innovative impact braking system that absorbs negative ground impact, helps traction and improves grip downhill allows you to run without any distraction or worries. Offering real advantages on uneven terrain are the outsole lugs which dig deep into loose terrain and rocks.
