Lokal Helsinki Ovaali tray
Description
The Ovaali tray is handmade in Finland using traditional handicraft methods: the edges of the tray are bent from alder, and the ends are tied together with spruce roots. The tray can be used as a shaker-style accessory and storage item in the kitchen and anywhere in the home. Ovaali is part of the LOKAL x FDS collection, a collaboration created to spotlight local artisans and designers who perhaps are a little more unknown to the general public. Curated by Lokal Helsinki and Finnish Design Shop, the collection consists of unique, locally-manufactured products made in small-scale production, many even by hand in the designers' own workshops.
