Maison Margiela’s paint drop trainers are part of the Replica concept, a collection of garments from around the world reproduced with the brand’s vision. The sneakers are marked with its provenance and period in a label stitched inside the shoe: Austria, 1970s. The soft calf leather and suede effect upper is finished with a hand-painted splatter of colourful paint over the toe. The lace fasten trainers are set on a soft gumsole that comes in a neutral tan colour and offers more grip than other rubber soles. The brand’s numerical logo is embossed on the tongue with ‘22’ circled, denoting line 22’s collection of shoes and footwear. Signature white stitches appear on the heel rear. Upper: Bovine Leather.
