Marimekko's Vihkiruusu cushion cover features a beautiful rose pattern. Measuring 45 x 45 cm, the Vihkiruusu cushion cover is made of 100% cotton and has a zipper on one side. Vihkiruusu, which translates roughly to ”wedding rose”, is one of Marimekko’s classic patterns designed by Maija Isola in 1964. Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia had declared that no floral patterns would ever be printed at Marimekko. As a protest, Maija Isola designed a series of floral prints so distinctive, Ratia had to immediately take back her words and include eight of them in Marimekko’s collection. Among these eight prints were the romantic Vihkiruusu pattern as well as the iconic Unikko.
