To ensure feet remain dry, comfortable and feeling fresh, the Moab Speed Mid GORE-TEX Walking Boots utilise a GORE-TEX membrane. The GORE-TEX prevents feet from becoming wet in changing conditions and wet terrain, for optimum comfort and confidence on the trails. Alongside this, the mesh uppers are highly breathable, to prevent feet from overheating and ensure a constant supply of airflow. The fabrics have moisture-wicking properties to prevent a build-up of sweat and moisture from occurring, keeping you dry during the more intense periods of your hike. Keeping feet shielded from knocks and bumps on your adventures, the boots have TPU overlays, protecting feet in areas that are high-wearing. Keeping toes well-protected on the ever-changing terrains of the trail, the boots have a protective toe cap. A padded collar and plush, cushioned tongue prevent the boots from slipping in the boots and help prevent irritation from occurring, whilst a traditional lace-up keeps the foot locked in and secure.
FloaPro Foam MidsoleUsing Merrell's unique FloatPro Foam through the midsole, the Moad Speed Mids provide a lightweight and durable ride. Working alongside this, the Moab Speed Mid GORE-TEX Walking Boots also have an EVA midsole to provide excellent levels of cushioning underfoot. The combination works to absorb impact and provide energy return to supply bouncy, comfortable steps on the trails, therefore supporting a smooth transition, reducing injuries, and promoting a more natural stride. Finally, a removable PU foam insole is utilised, allowing you to make changes to the amount of cushioning provided, and keeping you comfortable underfoot.
Vibram EcoDura OutsoleDesigned to provide outstanding grip and traction across a variety of surfaces, the Moab Speed Mid GORE-TEX utilise a Vibram EcoDura Outsole, making them a great walking boot for all-surface wear. The outsole has been designed using 30% recycled rubber for a more eco-conscious choice of footwear, however still provides you with the outstanding level of performance and durability that you need to remain focused on the adventures ahead. Additionally, a new Vibram Traction Lug design adds even more traction and stability, keeping you secure on the rough, wet and changing terrain below. Finally, the outsole features a rock plate, supplying you with even more protection against knocks and bumps, including sharp objects, allowing you to carry on without distractions.
