AIRmesh Upper
Made from Mizuno's AIRmesh materials, the shoes work to allow air to flow in and out of the shoe, keeping the feet feeling cool during intense activity. This lightweight construction allows vapour from sweat to escape, which will keep your feet feeling dry and fresh. In addition to this, the upper uses Mizuno's Dynamotion Fit. This system uses highly advanced motion capture and biomechanics technology to provide a supreme fit. This will mean that as your foot moves through the gait cycle, the shoe will work with your unique movement, accommodating the whole process comfortably. A secure and comfortable fit is guaranteed with a padded tongue that will sit gently on the top of the foot, working alongside the lace-up structure to provide a locked-in and secure fit.
Wave Technology MidsoleInspired by nature, Mizuno's Wave technology is a unique midsole construction that provides a combination of cushioning and stability. The midsole technology works to absorb the shock of heel striking without compromising comfort or cushioning. Once the shock has been absorbed the energy from it is harnessed and transferred to the forefoot to push you off and guide you into your stride. Additionally, the shoes have a unique U4ic midsole platform that sits atop the Wave Plate to increase the level of comfort and performance provided by the Kizuna 3, without sacrificing its stable nature. It is an engineered polymer that is light, responsive and cushioned and it delivers you these properties, kilometre after kilometre, day after day. Then, beneath the wave plate and under the heel, a layer of Mizuno Enerzy foam exists below to add extra softness and impact protection underfoot.
X10 OutsoleThe outsoles of the Wave Kizuna 3's are made with an X10 compound, the most durable Carbon rubber that allows for longer wear in high-impact areas and supplements traction at heel strike. This helps to lessen the impact placed on the knees and joints, allowing for a more comfortable ride as well as optimising gait efficiency. The outsole also ensures maximum grip and traction for a firm, assured footing so you can run with confidence and push yourself to the limit, time and time again.
