When Pierre Montale returned to Paris from Saudi Arabia, where he had been creating perfumes for the royal family, he decided to introduce the Western world to the wonderful scents of the East, launching Montale in 2003. Created in 1993, Black Aoud eau de parfum is an iconic original from the house, demonstrating the intensity of Cambodian aoud, combined with Indonesian patchouli leaves over a heady base of mandarin, musk and rose petals.
