Description
The Container table, designed by Marcel Wanders for Dutch brand Moooi, consists of a round table top and a cone-like, hollow foot in polyethylene. This version has a HPL top, which means it is made of high pressure laminated thermosetting resins and reinforced with woodfibres. The gist of the Container tables is embedded in their name: the table is quite literally also a container, as the hollow foot allows you to fill it with sand or anything heavy to stabilise the structure. The table comes with a decorative cover for the foot, called Bodhi, made of oak wood slats. The separate cover is attached with leather straps and brass screws.
