Description
Nikari's Koti table, designed by Laura Mattila and Mikko Merz in 2017, is a lovely wooden dining table whose minimalist design complements a wide range of interiors. The Koti table was originally designed for the Finnish Cultural Institute in Paris as part of an installation created in celebration of Finland's 100th anniversary: made of birch and named after the Finnish word for “home”, Koti tables were used in a Finnish cottage village built inside the institute’s facilities, located right in the heart of Paris. The Koti table also has a special place in Nikari’s own history, as the company celebrated its 50th anniversary that same year. The Koti table is part of the esteemed brand’s Storia collection, launched in honour of the occasion, whose pieces tell their own stories about the Nordic handicraft tradition. Nikari products are made in Finland using only certified wood.
