The mesh upper offers a wider range of protection to help you gain the maximum from your footwear. As well as this, the mesh provides a lightweight secure feel. The upper is designed to fit like a second skin whilst also providing constant ventilation; its perforations increase airflow to create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. The mesh details throughout the upper allow cool air to flow into the construction whilst, at the same time allowing hot humid air to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. A heel counter exists to keep your foot in a secure place as you run by locking in the heel. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

The technology has been used within the forefoot to cushion the footstrike to offer you the best possible protection and comfort when training. Ensuring lightweight, durable and versatile cushioning, the Air Zoom midsole features pressurised air inside that compresses and recovers as you jump and lunge around the gym. The unit compresses to reduce the force of impact and then recovery allows the air unit to return to its original shape and volume to ensure a soft and responsive base for you to push off from. Every time you land, the powerful Air Zoom cushions absorb your energy and shoot it right back - springing you into your next move. And because Air cushioning is built to last, it keeps giving back, rep after rep after rep. Surrounding the Air Zoom units and complementing their reactive nature is soft and resilient Cushlon foam. Mainly featuring in the heel, Cushlon helps to absorb impacts from high-intensity reps and cushions during lifts. The soft and springy Cushlon platform ensures long-lasting comfort for high-intensity days.
Full Rubber OutsoleDeveloped using a rubber outsole, the Nike Air Zoom Winflo Running Shoes enhance traction and grip. The durable rubber provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. The rubber is placed on high-wear areas such as the forefoot and heel to increase durability. The rubber covers the heel, forefoot and midfoot to enhance durability, resisting the traumas of heel strike and toe-off to provide you with a reliable and long-lasting running buddy. Completing the outsole are forefoot pistons which allow for a greater forefoot response and added traction.
